Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu (1400m)

Arrive in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, ready to start your adventure. Our representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will rest and relax in the assigned hotel after checking in. The rest of the day is free to explore the bustling streets of Thamel, enjoy the local cuisine, and prepare for the adventure ahead. This day will allow you to adjust to the environment of Nepal and prepare for the scenic adventure ahead.

Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap (2850m, 7–8 hrs)

Kick off the journey from Kathmandu with a picturesque private jeep ride to Dhap. Today, we will pass rolling hills, lush forests, terraced fields, and a few villages. We will get a glimpse of Nepal’s rural lifestyle and get to taste the food as well. As we ascend, the air will grow faster and fresher with the landscapes becoming more serene and secluded. We will stay overnight in the peaceful settlement of Dhap.

Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2820m, 6 hrs)

We will start our trekking adventure today. We will gently follow the trails through lush forests and terraced farmlands. Along the way, we will encounter local herders and pass by the chortems adorned with a peaceful setting of prayer flags. Jhapre is a beautiful village that is perched above a deep valley. The village is home to the panoramic views of Numbur Himal and Everest on clear days.

Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp (3640m, 6–7 hrs)

We will pass through the trek for more challenging and rugged terrain today. The route is very peaceful and provides a lot of opportunities to soak in the atmosphere. We will get to traverse vibrant rhododendron forests and expansive yak pastures along the way. We will gradually lead to the highland pastures of Pikey Base Camp. We will get the tranquil shapes of towering Himalayas from a far perspective. Settle into a local teahouse, gearing up for an early start tomorrow.

Day 5

Climb Pikey Peak (4065m) for sunrise, trek to Lamjura Danda (3736m, 6–7 hrs)

We will wake up before dawn and start our gentle hike to Pikey Peak’s summit. The sunrise transforms the entire Himalayan range into an awe-inspiring golden retreat. The views of Everest to Kanchenjunga will feel surreal and soaking. We will descend back to the Base Camp for a brief breakfast and start our further descent towards Lamjura Danda. Lamjura Danda offers an excellent stop, and we will rest for the night here.

Trek from Lamjura Danda to Junbesi (2700m, 3–4 hrs)

This will be a shorter trekking day and will allow us to enjoy the journey at a mild pace. We will descend through the rhododendron and pine forest while passing the Sherpa Villages along the way. Junbesi, a stunning traditional village in the Solu region, brims with cultural richness and natural beauty. Enjoy a relaxing evening wandering through the vibrant village of Junbesi. Overnight will be in Junbesi.

Day 7

Visit Thupten Choling Monastery (3031m), return to Junbesi (5–6 hrs)

We will take a cultural excursion to Thupten Choling Monastery, which is a significant Tibetan Buddhist center. It was founded by Trulsik Rinpoche in the 1960s. We will spend our day exploring and soaking in the spiritual scenery. The monastery is home to hundreds of monks, where we can witness daily prayers and traditional rituals. The day will provide a meaningful cultural connection beyond the natural beauty of the Trek.

Day 8

Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu (2413m, 4–5 hrs)

We will get back to Phaplu, which is a gradual descent from Junbesi through forested trails and farmlands. We will pass by the scattered villages and enjoy the slower rhythm of rural life. Phaplu is a small but lively town that serves as a gateway to the lower Everest Region. It has an airport, a few shops, and teahouses, which are a convenient stop before returning to Kathmandu.

Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu (1400m, 8 hrs)

We will get back to Kathmandu via a private jeep. We will retrace a route through the scenic hills and valleys.
